Most of the studies conducted throughout history regarding the Islamic city were carried out by Orientalists, and most of these studies were conducted in the physical and morphological fields of Islamic cities. One of the most important things that appear due to the occurrence of accidents and incidents in cities, especially in the post-accident stage and the level of tolerance of cities in dealing with them, is resilience, which is conceptually borrowed from other sciences. It has opened its place in urban literature and has become one of the main approaches of this science. Resilience is not defined by itself. Rather, it can be discussed in the form of different dimensions. in order to examine the resilience in the Islamic city, we need to make the desired changes in the dimensions and components of resilience, according to the characteristics of the Islamic city. In order to achieve this goal, in the current research, by examining the existing literature both in the field of resilience and the Islamic city, the common points between these two aspects of urban resilience and capacity dimensions of the resilience of the Islamic city, through matching between the mentioned cases. It has been revealed that it is possible to further clarify this issue and reach the specific dimensions and components of the Islamic city's resilience in future research.
